Korean Skincare – My Current Obsession

Korean Skincare Review

Over the past couple of years, I’ve become completely obsessed with Korean skincare. I’ve always loved anything that makes my skin feel fresh, glowy and healthy, but the more I’ve explored Korean beauty, the more I’ve fallen in love with how thoughtful and effective the products are. The best part is that Korean skincare has become so popular now that it’s easier than ever to find amazing brands here in the UK.

My Favourite Korean Skincare Brands

Erborian

I’ve been using Erborian for a while now and I absolutely love it. Their Skin Hero is one of my all-time favourites, especially for no makeup days. It gives my skin such a natural glow and smooth finish, almost like a filter but still completely natural-looking.

Laneige

The Laneige lip balms are my absolute favourite lip products ever. I use them every night before bed without fail and wake up with perfectly soft lips every time. They’re such a staple for me now, I honestly can’t imagine not having one in my bag or on my bedside table.

Biodance

I finally tried the Biodance masks this year after having them on my wishlist for ages, and they were completely worth the wait. They’re by far the best sheet masks I’ve ever used – they actually stay on your face properly, and my skin always looks noticeably plumper and brighter afterwards. The Hydro Cera Nol masks are my favourite.

Medicube

I’ve been loving the Medicube toning pads. One of my favourite things about Korean skincare is how versatile products like this are. You can use them as a quick toner after cleansing or leave them on your face for a few minutes as a mini mask. It’s such a simple step that makes my skin feel instantly refreshed.

Beauty of Joseon

This brand has been one of my long-time favourites, but I’ve fallen even more in love with it recently. The Rice Milk Toner and Dynasty Cream are two standouts for me. The toner feels super hydrating without being heavy, and the cream gives the perfect dewy finish without clogging pores.

Beauugreen

I’ve used quite a few masks from Beauugreen and they’re such a great way to easily bring a bit of Korean skincare into your routine. They always leave my skin feeling hydrated, calm and fresh.

Songai Subscription

I also recently signed up to Songai, which is a Korean skincare subscription that sends five face masks every month. I love that I get to try different brands and types of masks that I might never have discovered otherwise. It feels like such a treat every month and keeps my skincare routine fun and interesting.

Korean skincare has completely changed the way I look after my skin and kind of got me excited about skincare again.

The focus on hydration, gentle ingredients and consistent care has made such a difference to my skin, as I do have quite dehydrated skin I think.

It’s also made my skincare routine feel more like self-care rather than just another step in the day, and focusing on making my evening routines a bit more indulgent is something I’ve been trying to bring in for a while.

If you’ve been thinking about trying Korean skincare, I can’t recommend it enough, and the products (or at least the ones I’ve tried), have been really effective and genuinely made a difference to my skin.
