I’ve always been obsessed with matcha and one of my favourite places in Paris has been Matcha Social Club. I’ve missed it so much since being back, but recently I discovered a little matcha cafe in Bath that almost feels like it was modelled on it, so as you can imagine – I was very excited!
The Drinks
I had to try a matcha latte first, and it was amazing. They use ceremonial grade matcha, and you can tell as the quality is so good. It’s vibrant, creamy, and just hits the spot. I also couldn’t resist trying the matcha soft serve, made with Oatly, so I probably shouldn’t have, but I did and I have no regrets!
The Vibe
The cafe itself is a vibe – all green tones and simple styling. I love that there’s a place so dedicated to matcha, and being there really gave me all the Matcha Social Club vibes but close to home. It’s exactly the kind of spot you want to go to, whether it’s just for a quick takeaway, or to take your laptop and chill while you try something new.
If you’re in Bath and love matcha, this is a must-visit. It’s hard to find spots that take matcha seriously, and this one nails it.
