While we were on our honeymoon in Paris, we managed to catch the Royal Tapestries exhibition at Grand Palais β and to say we absolutely loved it is quite the understatement. It felt like such a cool experience, not only because of the incredible craftsmanship on display, but also because it was in one of the most beautiful buildings in Paris, which has just reopened after being closed for renovations.

About the Exhibition
The Royal Tapestries exhibition celebrates the artistry and heritage of tapestry making, with works that date back centuries. The tapestries are incredibly detailed, filled with colour and texture, and itβs quite crazy to see how much work and precision goes into creating something so intricate.

Trying It Out for Ourselves
One of our favourite parts of the exhibition was that you could actually try tapestry making yourself, and we both sat for a while trying it out on a mini tapestry which was so fun and really therapeutic, and it made us both want to try making something at home.

I really recommend visiting Grand Palais and seeing what exhibitions are on if you’re in Paris. The building is stunning and has such a calm vibe.
