Matcha Social Club is one of my favourite places in Paris, and definitely my number one spot for matcha. Every time I’m in the city, I have to go. It’s one of those places that just makes me so happy to be there – the vibe, the drinks, the aesthetic, everything about it makes me happy!
About Matcha Social Club
It’s tucked away in the 3rd arrondissement, in the Marais, which is one of my favourite areas in Paris. The café has such a cool feel to it – minimal but welcoming. The whole place has that effortless Parisian-meets-Tokyo vibe.
Matcha Social Club was started by two matcha lovers who wanted to bring a modern take on traditional Japanese tea culture, and you can really tell how much thought goes into everything. From the quality of their matcha to the way the space is styled, it all feels so intentional and beautifully done.
The Matcha
I always get a matcha latte with almond milk, and honestly, it’s the best I’ve had. They use ceremonial grade matcha, and you can instantly taste how good it is. It’s smooth, rich, and has that perfect earthy flavour that good matcha should have. It’s also whisked properly, which makes all the difference – so creamy and velvety.
The Vibe
The aesthetic is one of the things I love most. Everything is clean, bright and vibrant, with bold green tones (which also happen to be one of my absolute favourite colours – Lord of Misrule green).
They also do really cute merch – t-shirts, tote bags, and caps all in their signature colour.
If you love matcha, you have to go to Matcha Social Club. It’s the best I’ve found so far, and the whole experience is really fun – from the staff to the drinks to the space itself.
It’s become one of my absolute favourite spots in Paris and always one of the first places I think about when I plan a trip back.
