Tech Essentials I Use Every Day

Tech Essentials

As much as we don’t want to be consumed by technology, it’s impossible to completely step away from it, especially when you work for yourself and live in a modern world.

I try to keep things as stripped back as I can and make sure I step away from screens throughout the day, but the truth is, technology plays a huge role in my everyday life.

These are the techy bits I can’t live without and would highly recommend.

iPhone

Phones are basically an extension of our arms now, but I love using mine to listen to podcasts and audiobooks. I like to have some background noise while I work, and listening to something inspiring or educational helps me focus. I learn so much that way and often find it really motivating, especially when I’m working on my own.

Marshall In-Ear Headphones

I always have my headphones to hand. Whether I’m walking, at my desk, cooking dinner, or cleaning the house, I love being able to pop them in and drift into my own little zone. They’re small, comfortable, and the sound quality is amazing, which makes all the difference when you use them as much as I do.

Osmo Camera

I love filming everything, and since switching from my Canon G7X to the Osmo, I’ve been obsessed. It’s compact, smooth, and perfect for capturing little snippets of daily life. It makes filming feel effortless, and I actually enjoy picking it up rather than battling with the autofocus and fighting for my life in low light!

Theramask

Sleep has always been a huge struggle for me, and the Theramask has been such a game changer. It has built-in vibrations to help you fall asleep, with some settings that guide your breathing and others that gently soothe you to sleep. It sounds like such a small thing, but it’s made such a difference to how easily I can get to sleep, and go back to sleep after waking up 57 times a night…

MacBook Air

I use my laptop constantly, from writing blog posts and editing photos, working with my styling clients, to planning content and keeping on top of admin.

It’s lightweight, quick, and easy to take anywhere, which is ideal when you work for yourself and like to mix up where you work from. I honestly don’t think I could function without it.

I love keeping my tech simple and intentional. Everything I use serves a purpose and makes life a little easier or more enjoyable. I think that’s what it’s all about, finding that balance between using technology to support your day, without letting it take over.
