If you have one, you swear by it, if you don’t have one, you want one… I’m of course talking about the Dyson hairdryer.
To be honest, even if you aren’t hair obsessed, this hairdryer is on everyones lust list because, well it’s sleek, futuristic and cool. I’ve had mine for over a year and every time I get it out I get a pang of excitement. This is probably not a normal reaction to getting out your hairdryer, but I love everything about it from the reduced noise, the buttons, lights, magnetic attachments and how lightweight it is.
I have curly hair so struggle hugely with hairdryers and hair products. I have let my hair air dry or sat in front of a heater to dry my hair with a lot of success for years leading up to getting my Dyson hairdryer. I had never quite grasped the technique with a diffuser and to be honest just didn’t have the patience for it as you will know if you’re a fellow curly girl, curly hair takes forever to dry!
I used to get tired and fed up holding a big heavy hairdryer, annoyed with the loud bellowing blow (I legit had a hairdryer that sounded like a plane taking off), and found them bulky and annoying to store.
When I saw every influencer on the planet being sent a sparkly new Dyson hairdryer I was jealous to say the least. It was highly anticipated and massively raved about for a good while after it was launched. I did a lot of research but found that nothing came even close to the specs and review of the Dyson and I am lucky enough to now have my own!
As I mentioned, I’ve had it for over a year so have had a good amount of time to make a decision as to whether it’s worth the money and as good as the hype. Honestly, the answer is a big fat yes.
I wouldn’t say that it’s any quicker at drying my hair when I use the diffuser and wear it curly, but I will say that it makes the process a hell of a lot easier because it’s lighter and quieter. When I straighten my hair, it dries pretty much poker straight very quickly, which is just shocking to me. My hair is very curly and when I used to wear it straight much more often, it would be something I’d block out in my diary and quite literally have to cancel plans because I was ‘washing my hair’. With the Dyson it’s actually a lot quicker than drying it curly and makes straightening a lot easier because it’s properly dry and very straight from the get go.
I would absolutely love to try the air wrap to see if this is as good at styling as I would love to know how my hair would hold with a slight curl but not tight ringlet curls as my hair is naturally.
I was blown away with the Dyson hairdryer and recommend it to anyone who can afford it or who wants to invest in something they’ll probably use forever. If you style your hair most days then you’re going to be getting your monies worth for sure. I imagine if you have naturally straight hair you’re hair will be dry within seconds, literally.
Not only is it a great product to have in your beauty regime, it’s a sexy product to have on your dresser. It’s such a nice design, the colours are seriously cool and if you’re able to get your hands on the stand like I have, it makes a really nice feature on your dresser. I love it to look at just as much as I like using it!
You can often find great deals and discounts on the Dyson hairdryer, especially if you purchase from places like Boots (get those advantage card points girls), and you can purchase from Dyson for £25 a month over 12 months.
If you have curly hair and have used the Dyson Airwrap please let me know because I would be so interested to hear your experience!
Happy hair drying! xx
