I was in Paris recently and managed to visit the David Hockney exhibition at The Louis Vuitton Foundation. I didn’t follow his work closely before, but seeing it all together in person was such a cool experience. It was really interesting to see how he plays with colour, light, and perspective, and how much detail goes into his compositions. One piece that really caught my eye was a Christmas tree at night – the way he captured the glow of the lights was so clever and atmospheric.

About the Exhibition
The exhibition showcases a wide range of Hockney’s works, giving a real sense of his approach and style. It was fun to explore everything in one place and notice the different techniques and colours he used. I found it really inspiring, even if I hadn’t known much about him before, and it made me appreciate the thought and creativity behind each piece.

The Louis Vuitton Foundation
The Foundation itself is amazing and has been on my list to visit for years. The building is full of glass and curves, which feels so airy and modern, and walking around it almost feels like you’re inside a piece of art. Pairing the architecture with the exhibition made for such a memorable visit.

Final Thoughts
If you’re in Paris, I’d highly recommend visiting the Louis Vuitton Foundation. Even if you’re not familiar with David Hockney, the exhibition is a great introduction to his work and the building itself is stunning. It was such a fun and inspiring way to spend a few hours discovering something new.
