As nice as it is to find a bargain staple piece in the Topshop sale, nothing beats a high quality fashion splurge every once in a while.
I do not spend money on high end fashion very often at all, so when I do, it really is a special moment!
I have a real problem parting with a large sum of money with only one thing to show for it. I have to admit I am a lover of tipping out a huge bag of Primark goodies, and sifting through my loot having only spent £40, but having one special purchase is really one of my biggest loves.
My Louis Vuitton purse has been in my life for just over seven years now, and we truly are soul mates. I have used this purse every single day since the day I purchased it, and it is still as beautiful and possibly even more special with its worn in look and feel.
High end shopping does not start and end with the product, and it is not a race to get in and get out like shopping elsewhere, the experience is what you are paying for.
Not only is the customer service at Louis Vuitton second to none, but you really are buying a gift, decorated in a soft dust bag, resting in a luxury box, nice and snug in a beautiful bag, ahhhhh.
The design is perfect for me as it is small and I can hold it easily in my hand when on the go, and it fits nicely into all of my bags, even tiny clutch bags. People always comment on it, and when paying at the tills, cashiers often point it out, I feel like it is my old friend.
If you are thinking of buying a high end product as an investment, I would definitely recommend going for a purse. With a bag, you have to really commit to that style for a long time, and there have been so many bags that I just adore, and then the next season think ‘I am so glad I didn’t get that’, as my style has changed or the trend has passed. At least with a purse you will always need it, you can always use it for different things such as a card holder, or for coins, if you want to change your main purse.
Smaller goods tend to be less expensive too, which is always a bonus! You can have the VIP experience, and have a gorgeous product without the risk of feeling disappointed further down the line.
I have been dreamily looking on the Louis Vuitton website considering what my next investment piece may be (come on guys, it has been seven years, I must be overdue a new purchase?
