I’ve been through so many skincare brands over the years, from luxury to high street, but I always find myself going back to The Ordinary.
There’s just something about their products that feels so reliable and effective. I love that you’re getting the real ingredients, not a fancy version watered down with loads of unnecessary fillers. It’s straight to the point skincare that actually works.
One of the things I love most about The Ordinary is their whole approach. The idea of keeping packaging simple so the focus is on the ingredients (and not the packaging budget) makes so much sense.
Even though they’ve gone for the more minimal look, I actually think their packaging looks so nice. It feels clean, clinical in a good way, and sits so well on my bathroom shelf, definitely not the kind of product you want to hide away in a drawer.
My Go-To Products
There are a few products I use from The Ordinary pretty much every single day, and I honestly couldn’t be without them.
Glycolic Acid
This is one of my all-time favourites. I use it a few times a week, usually at night, and it just gives my skin that glow that makes it look like I’ve had the best facial. It helps smooth out texture and makes my skin feel so clean and refreshed.
Natural Moisturising Factors
This is such a great everyday moisturiser. It’s simple, lightweight, and keeps my skin hydrated without being greasy. I love how it sinks in quickly and sits perfectly under makeup.
Vitamin C Suspension (Cream)
This one is a bit of a powerhouse. It gives my skin such a boost and helps keep it bright and even. It does tingle a little bit at first, but I actually like that because it feels like it’s doing something.
Granactive Retinoid
I’ve used a few different retinoids in the past, but this one is my favourite. It’s gentle enough that it doesn’t irritate my skin, but still strong enough to actually make a difference. My skin always feels smoother and looks more even when I use it consistently.
Hyaluronic Acid
If my skin ever feels dry or tight, this fixes it instantly. It’s one of those products that just works for everyone and makes such a difference to how plump and fresh my skin looks. I apply it before my moisturiser and it helps everything else sink in better too.
The Ordinary has completely changed the way I think about skincare. You don’t need to spend a fortune to get great results, and I actually love that it’s stripped back and ingredient-focused. Their products do exactly what they say they will, and they’re the reason my skin feels so much healthier and more consistent now.
