I’ve had my eye on the Gucci Marmont for years and as you know, I take my bag purchases seriously, and before committing I wanted to try it out, so rented it via Cocoon Club.
First Impressions
The first thing that stood out to me is the colour-way. The black leather is beautifully soft and luxurious, and the red edging gives it just the right amount of personality without being too loud. It is subtle, but it makes the whole bag feel more unique and elevated and edgy, which I love.
The Perfect Size
In terms of size, the Marmont is amazing. It is compact enough to feel cute and put together, but still fits all your daily essentials such as your phone, keys, cardholder, and lipstick. The leather keeps its structure while still being comfortable to wear.
Versatile Styling
One of my favourite features is the chain strap. You can wear it crossbody for a more casual daytime look, or double up the chain to wear it over your shoulder for the evening. It is such a small design detail, but it makes a big difference because I feel that when bags only have one way to wear, it’s quite limiting, and when making an investment, I want to know it’s going to be versatile.
Investment or Rental?
As much as I love a good investment piece, I also know that luxury purchases are not always realistic or the most sustainable choice. That is why I decided to rent mine from Cocoon Club, and I honestly cannot recommend it enough.
