Manifestation

A Thing For Blog

Like everyone else, I’ve been a bit obsessed with manifestation over the last few years. I’ve read all the books, listened to endless podcasts, and gone through phases of being completely dedicated to putting it all into practice. Some things have really stuck with me, and I’ve started to see how powerful small mindset shifts can be when you stay consistent.

I wanted to share a few things I’ve learned and try to live by when it comes to manifestation—little reminders that have helped me feel more aligned and intentional every day.

The Secret: Focus on What You Want

The Secret was probably the first book that really got me interested in manifestation. It’s all about the law of attraction and how the energy we put out comes back to us. One of the biggest takeaways for me was the idea of focusing on what you want rather than what you don’t want.

It sounds simple, but it changes everything. Instead of saying “I don’t want to struggle with money” or “I don’t want to be stressed,” it’s about shifting your thoughts to “I’m open to abundance” or “I’m creating more peace in my life.” What you focus on expands, so training your thoughts to lean towards the positive can make such a difference over time.

Manifest: Take Aligned Action

Manifest: 7 Steps to Living Your Best Life really helped me understand that manifestation isn’t just about visualising and waiting for things to appear—it’s about taking aligned action. It’s great to dream big, but it’s equally important to follow those dreams up with consistent, intentional steps.

I started thinking more about what I could actually do to move closer to what I wanted, instead of sitting back and hoping things would fall into place. Whether that’s sending the email, signing up for the course, or even just changing your daily habits, action is what brings the vision to life.

Good Vibes, Good Life: Self-Love Comes First

Good Vibes, Good Life by Vex King is one I come back to again and again. The message is simple but powerful—everything starts with self-love. If you don’t truly believe you’re worthy of what you’re trying to manifest, it’s much harder for it to show up.

This book really reminded me to treat myself kindly, set boundaries, and raise my standards. It’s not just about thinking positively—it’s about knowing your value and choosing things that match that energy. When you genuinely love and respect yourself, the energy you attract completely shifts.

Lucky Bitch: Release Money Guilt

Denise Duffield Thomas’s Lucky Bitch focuses on money mindset, and it changed the way I think about abundance. So many of us have weird guilt or blocks around money, especially if we’ve been taught that wanting more is greedy or that success only comes through struggle.

The biggest thing I took from this book was that it’s okay to want to be financially comfortable, to dream big, and to attract opportunities that support that. Denise talks a lot about clearing limiting beliefs and letting go of the idea that luck only happens to other people. I’ve started to see “luck” as being ready to receive and open to things working out for me.

My Thoughts on Manifestation

What I’ve learned through all of this is that manifestation isn’t magic—it’s mindset. It’s about believing in yourself, shifting your energy, and taking small but meaningful steps that align with what you want.

Some days it feels easy and natural, and other days it’s harder to stay in that space, but that’s normal. The more I practice gratitude, visualise my goals, and take inspired action, the more I see things start to flow in the right direction.

It’s a process, but a really beautiful one that helps you feel more connected, grounded, and in tune with the life you’re creating.
