King Street Townhouse – A Cosy Getaway in the Middle of the City

King Street Townhouse Hotel Manchester

We recently spent a couple of nights in Manchester and stayed at King Street Townhouse – and I honestly couldn’t recommend it enough. It’s such a beautiful hotel right in the heart of the city, and it manages to feel both luxurious and cosy at the same time. You know how much we like a bougie hotel stay, and I can tell you now, King Street Townhouse did NOT disappoint!

The Hotel

King Street Townhouse is part of the Eclectic Hotels group, set in a beautiful Italian Renaissance-style building that feels full of character and history – my favourite.

The hotel has a mix of classic and modern design, the rooms are beautifully curated, and it also has amazing features like a rooftop pool and small spa.

It’s in the perfect location, tucked just behind busy King Street, which means everything in central Manchester is only a short walk away, and because we stayed when it was super cold, I really appreciated not having to walk too far!

The hotel has a gorgeous restaurant and bar that’s open from breakfast through to dinner. We had dinner at the hotel one evening and both went for steak, which was amazing. The service was lovely, the atmosphere was calm and cosy, and it felt like the perfect place to unwind and chill.

The Suite

We stayed in one of the hotel’s suites, and it was stunning. The room was quite small and cosy, with a huge bed, beautiful interiors, but because it had a separate lounge area, it did also feel quite big and loft-apartment vibes. There was even cake waiting for us when we arrived, which was such a thoughtful touch – sadly I found out I could eat it after Toby insisted it was ‘far too good to be egg free’ and at the whole thing haha!

The Rooftop Pool

One of the most unique things about King Street Townhouse is its rooftop infinity spa pool. It overlooks the Manchester skyline, and at night it feels like the most magical little escape in the middle of the city.

After dinner, we booked a late-night slot at the pool, and it was such a lovely way to end the day. It’s definitely one of the hotel’s highlights and something I’d recommend making time for.

Our stay at King Street Townhouse was such a lovely experience from start to finish. The staff were welcoming, the food was great, and the suite was perfect, and every little detail felt thoughtful and well-considered. It’s ideal if you’re planning a city break in Manchester or just want a relaxing getaway with the bonus of having the city right on your doorstep.
