This is absolutely not the post that was going to go live today but I didn’t really feel like posting about festive fashion and chatting about outfits when it’s unimportant right now.
I’m going to keep this short and sweet because I don’t want to bang on about things that are being cancelled and dwelling on negativity, but the recent news about changes to tiers and another change to the period over Christmas means that many of us will no longer be spending time with the people we thought we were, leaving some people not seeing anyone at all.
There is no shame in admitting that you feel sad, deflated, miserable, angry, confused, frustrated or even as far as feeling suicidal and hopeless. The worst thing you can do is pretend everything is ok and let things get worse so all I am doing today is posting some links to the new rules to help those who might not be clear on things and some links to charities and bodies which can help give advice and reassurance to those who cannot cope.
These resources are by no means exhaustive and are just a few places to start. Social media is not great for everyone, but if you use social media there are plenty of accounts shining light on places and resources for help, along with plenty of other resources online.
Advice/clarification on the new rules
Things will get better. It’s hard now but this will be a memory one day and we will all be much stronger and more grateful for it xx
