Festive Bucket List

Festive Bucket List

I don’t know about you, but every year I have a specific list of things that I want to do before the Christmas period is over and a few things I absolutely do not want to miss!

I like to be super organised to make sure I have enough time to cram everything in (with lots of downtime and festive Lush baths of course), so if I were you I’d jot your list down asap and get checking off those festive moments we’ve all been waiting for all year long!

Here is the ultimate bucket list for December that I will be making sure I complete!

Christmas Market

They may still be virtual, and some smaller than normal, but a Christmas Market is one of the ultimate festive days out! I love picking up cute little gifts from small businesses, having a mince pie and some mulled wine under fairy lights in the cold.

Garden Centre

I love a garden centre all year round, however a Christmas visit is a must! Let’s be honest, garden centres basically become mini Christmas wonderlands over the festive season and it’s like my version of Disneyland. I like to grab a few gifts, stock up on festive snacks and browse the beautiful decorations, Christmas trees and general festivities the garden centre has to offer this time of year.

Movie Night/Cinema Date

The tree lights are on, candles are lit, popcorn is popped, wine or tea poured and Netflix is on. Yes, it’s time for a festive movie night! I love festive movies, and have already seen quiteeee a few this year so far, but I will absolutely be dedicating an evening to binging the classics. I’ve shared my list of top Christmas movies and also this year have put together a list of my favourite festive seasons too.

There’s something about the cinema at Christmas that I just love! To be honest the cinema feels like a treat whenever I go – I suppose it’s because I don’t actually go all that often, however grabbing a big box of popcorn and taking a seat to watch a Christmas classic is just so magical!

Cocktails

YES! I loveeeee a good cocktail, or mocktail of course, and really enjoy adding a little festive twist to the classics. I’ve chatted about a few of my favourite Christmas cocktails before so check out those posts for the good stuff, but if you’re having guests over during the holiday season, or you’re having a night in wrapping gifts, throw together your favourite festive cocktail and sip away!

Festive Pamper Night & A Lush Bath

I’m talking face masks, manicure, pedicure, Olaplex… the full works. I don’t know about you, but I like to have everything looking tip top when I’m seeing friends and family, and waiting for Santa. During December I try to take a least one night leading up to the big day to give myself a good pampering. A full body exfoliation, luxurious body butter, mini facial and bringing out the big guns in terms of skincare.

A good pamper session makes me feel so invigorated and full of energy, which is great when you’re in the throws of Christmas business and your energy is lacking. Having one night to really treat yourself is a great Christmas gift to yourself so treat yo’self and step into Christmas feeling fab!

Starbucks Christmas Cups & Try Christmas Coffee

Not everyones a fan of Starbs, but I can’t deny… I do love a toffee nut, or a gingerbread latte. I’m a sucker for a festive cup and you will be sure to see me sipping on a few Christmas coffees over the next few weeks!

 Decorating the Christmas Tree

I mean, it’s probably the most obvious thing to do over Christmas, but it is high on everyones lists of festive favourites. There’s nothing more nostalgic than getting out the Christmas vinyl, putting up all my decorations and reminiscing over memories of Christmases past.

Do something for/Donate to Charity

I like to give to charity as and when I can throughout the year, but I think it’s really important to do so at Christmas. It’s good to remember that there are those less fortunate, and to give where you can. I also believe that when treating yourself and treating others it’s good to keep in mind good causes and organisations, particularly those close to your heart.
