Favourite Christmas TV Series

Every year I talk about my favourite Christmas movies because they’re one of the things that absolutely makes Christmas for me. There’s nothing more festive than cosying up and putting on a Christmas film, or having a festive movie on in the background when you’re getting ready for the big day.

Over the last few years I’ve noticed more and more festive TV specials and even a few Christmassy TV series which make me extremely happy!

These are my top Christmas TV series and Christmas specials to keep you entertained throughout the festive period!

It would be wrong for me to start with anything other than Friends. Every year I start rewatching Friends in around August with the aim to finish it around December. Friends is so cosy, comforting and a true old friend to so many of us and when I lived alone I found watching Friends during autumn and winter really helped me feel festive and happy.

With eight different Christmas episodes, there’s plenty of Christmas content if you only want to watch the festive episodes and it’s the perfect thing to stick on the TV with family and friends because everybody loves Friends!

Dash & Lily

I watched Dash & Lily last year in one day and absolutely loved it! It’s so heartwarming and uplifting and even though it’s very cheesy, it’s everything you need in a festive series!

Gavin & Stacey

I love the Gavin and Stacey Christmas special – of course! But, I don’t just watch the special on it’s own, I like to watch the series leading up to it to get me back into the Gavin & Stacey bubble and it’s a great family favourite to have on when people come over, or while you’re wrapping presents.

Modern Family

In the same vein as Friends, I love to re-watch all the Thanksgiving and Holiday episodes of everybody’s favourite, Modern Family. It’s my ultimate feel good show and it makes me laugh uncontrollably every time I watch it. It’s perfect to chuck on when you’re wrapping gifts, writing cards or when you just want a cosy, familiar, feel-good watch!
