Yes, here I go again talking about homeware… but I just can’t help myself.

I’ve been scrolling through Zoopla, watching all the home improvement shows and revamping areas of my home (shock), like never before, and I know it’s the spring cleaning bug and I’ve well and truly caught it.

Changing up your space doesn’t need to be a costly or dramatic affair, it can be as simple as adding some different coloured candles, a new chair, a throw, or a unique shaped mirror in place of an old one.

There’s so many little things that can make a big difference, and are not only easy to do but are affordable and accessible.

Colours and textures are really easy to change by simply swapping out a cushion, moving a piece of artwork or even going as far as changing up your curtains.

Plants can also create a totally different vibe in a room, or throughout your entire home. I tend to change over my pots for fresh colours, or even just moving plants from one room to another so that overall space feels new is one of the most simple ways to change your space.

It’s also really nice to change up your space seasonally, and taking away dark soft furnishings and replacing them with lighter, spring colours instead and then changing around again during fall and winter.

If you want to change things up more permanently, you could add a lick of paint to your walls, and for a more subtle change you could do just one feature wall, paint only the ceiling, or paint halfway up to create a panelled effect. Adding a touch of paint can actually be quite a painless process, especially if you’re using light, bright colours and take your time to prep beforehand.

Here are a few of the pieces I love in Dunelm at the moment for adding a touch of ‘newness’ to my home.
